Bryn Celyn Bellaf

This quaint and delightful semi-detached cottage lies half a mile from the beautiful sandy beach and rugged bay of Porth Ceiriad, Abersoch. It has its own secluded and private hedged garden which offers panoramic views of the Llyn Peninsula; the peaks of Garn Fadryn and the Rivals are especially prominent, while the nearer heather-clad headland above Llanbedrog can be clearly seen.
There is easy access to the Llyn Peninsula section of the Wales Coastal Path from the cottage, and many other countryside walks criss-cross the nearby fields and the heathlands of Cilan.

Nature-lovers will find much to discover, with many seabirds around the rugged cliffs; and the red-legged chough, Llyn’s iconic symbol, flies in small groups around the coast hereabouts. Wildflowers are abundant, with bluebells, primroses, thrift and spring squill carpeting the hillsides early in the year, and later the summer heathers and hawkbits adding carpets of colour to the higher clifftops. Porpoise and dolphin are regularly seen from the clifftops of nearby Hell’s Mouth.

The cottage is only a short drive from all the amenities of Abersoch, with its shops, beaches, harbour, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities; and many of Llyn’s picturesque villages are just a short drive away. The popular market town of Pwllheli with its twice-weekly open-air market is just 15 minutes’ drive. Porthmadog with its terminus of the Welsh Highland Railway and the Ffestiniog Railway is an easy drive too.

Bryn Celyn Bellaf accommodates four people. It has two dormer bedrooms full of character; one bedroom has a double-bed and the other has two singles. Bed linen is provided. The bathroom with shower facilities is downstairs.

The cosy beamed sitting-room, with electric fire set in a stone-lined inglenook fireplace, is comfortably furnished with colour TV, DVD-player and radio. The cottage has oil-fired central heating, and electricity is on a £1 coin meter.

The kitchen/dining-room is well fitted, with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing-machine, toaster, kettle, iron and board, cutlery, crockery and all essential cooking utensils. A cot and high-chair are also available, though bedding for the cot is not provided.

The cottage is let from Saturday to Saturday, and short breaks are also available out of season (October to March). Visitors are asked to arrive after 3pm and leave by 10am on day of departure.
When making a booking, please give exact details of party (no more than four people).
